Who is Terri Berri K
About
Terri Berri K (TBK) is a south side Chicago native, multi-faceted artist, and Dancerpreneur who has trained in the art of dance for over 25 years. She is a professional performing/teaching artist and businesswoman creating space for authentic transformation. Experienced in the techniques of Ballet/Pointe, Modern, Jazz, Tap, Hip Hop, and Musical Theater, her roots stem from Chicago’s own Studio One Dance Theater where she learned the foundations of storytelling through movement. It’s through this foundational training that TBK has traveled to New York and Los Angeles earning her BFA in Dance Theater from the American Musical and Dramatic Academy, training and working with world-renowned teaching artists/performers. Her journey has led her to the work of creating spaces where women and men can feel empowered about who they are and what they have to offer to the world through dance and conversation. She empathizes with the sentiments of feeling like “you’re not enough”, falling victim to the comparison trap, and “negative self talk”, but it is through connecting with the body with a mindful approach she is healing herself and assisting others one day, class, performance, and workshop at a time. Life is an ongoing journey, and to look at someone else and compare where they are to where you are is unfair to the divine reason why you were placed on this earth. Every single human being has a story to tell and deserves to feel what they need to feel in order to heal, and it is through the spirit of the R.E.A.L (Respect, Encouragement, Abundance, and Love) that Terri Berri K curates experiences for authentic personal development of the mind, body, and soul.
